Summer Bucket List! DIY inspo!

Creating a SUMMER BUCKET LIST has been the highlight of our summer thus far! I feel like referring back to this idea list keeps us anticipating exciting outings, and makes for a satisfying task in checking them off at the end! I also enjoy knowing that on a day with little inspiration, I can refer to it, and suddenly devise a plan with what’s in front of me. I recommend making many things on the list a serious outing that maybe you would do once a week, and then have a handful of ideas for simple fun, that could be achieved near your home or in you home!

When creating this SUMMER BUCKET LIST board, I wanted to include some big events from the summer to make it fun, like a “double digit birthday”, “going to the Disneyland Hotel”, and “first sleepover” to really build the excitement, and highlight things of utmost importance for us.

What you will need:

*A large cardboard, cork, or thick foam poster board

*A roll of wrapping paper from the Dollar Tree (I was in love with the fruit one)

*Any color paper to write your ideas on

*Cut-out shapes to either use as a place to check off as you go or sticker (I still want to get gold star stickers)

*A contrasting paper to write your SUMMER BUCKET LIST title

*A frame or hot glue some pom pom trim or something to put the final touch on it!

*Markers to write with to make it colorful

Now, that is all you need to help shape your special summer plans, and ideas and bring them into fruition with joy!!! As I have been using this I thought of a few other things to incorporate. I like the thought of an idea basket with little notes inside folded. Everyone in the family could jot down more bucket list ideas and put them inside. So, daily you could grab from the basket as well for more simple ideas and save the BIG ideas for the board. Just food for thought!

And finally, I like the idea of making a designated “outing” day so that you always know when you will do these activities and will be able to plan for it easier with a special day in mind.

I surely hope this inspired you for summertime fun and this obviously can be redone for holidays and other seasons! I certainly will be redecorating this same board (which was a picture frame with plastic insert from Walmart) for other seasonal fun to come!
